Japan JEES Ishibashi Foundation Scholarship 2026 for Art History Students Worldwide

The Japan JEES Ishibashi Foundation Scholarship 2026 supports master’s and doctoral students in art history and related fields with a substantial monthly stipend for up to two years, starting in April 2026. It provides inbound funding for international students coming to Japan and outbound funding for Japanese students studying abroad, aiming to strengthen academic exchange in art history and related disciplines.

Monthly financial support to cover tuition fees, accommodation, living costs, and research expenses

Open to graduate students (master’s and doctoral) majoring in art history or closely related fields, with a clear study or research plan and financial need. Inbound applicants are international students coming to Japan; outbound applicants are Japanese students studying abroad.
