Alexander Nderitu World Literature Prize 2025

The Alexander Nderitu World Literature Prize 2025 invites submissions of original one-act stage plays from writers anywhere in the world. The 2025 edition will honour original, one-act stage plays in English and a single winner will be chosen by the prize founder. The winning entry will be published in The African Griot Review, with a cash prize and additional promotion involved; longlist and shortlist announcements are part of the process, with the winner revealed at a literary event in April 2026.

Open to writers anywhere in the world, aged over 18. All entries must be in English; translations and adaptations are not eligible.
