The NIH Office of Science Policy (OSP) Summer Internship Program is a funded internship hosted by the National Institutes of Health designed for students who want hands-on exposure to how biomedical research and science policy intersect. The program runs 8–12 weeks starting May or June 2026, with only two interns selected in each year and one position per division, accompanied by a stipend based on the student’s education level. It provides mentorship from policy experts and experience in policy materials, innovation strategies, and national science priorities relevant to the biomedical enterprise.
