China Studies Program PhD Fellowships 2026 at Sun Yat-sen University for Global Scholars

The China Studies Program (CSP) PhD Fellowships at Sun Yat-sen University are fully funded doctoral opportunities for international researchers to conduct China-focused research in China. The programme offers two tracks: a Joint Research PhD Fellowship for currently enrolled PhD students abroad to research in China for 1 semester up to 2 academic years, and a Full PhD Fellowship for international Master’s degree holders pursuing a complete PhD at SYSU over 3–4 years. Recipients receive full tuition support, living stipends, and international travel assistance, along with access to mentorship, seminars, and cross-institutional collaboration.
