VWI Fellowships 2026/27

The Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies (VWI) offers fully funded fellowships for international scholars to reside in Vienna for five to eleven months, to conduct research in Holocaust studies, antisemitism, racism, and nationalism, and to engage with the Institute’s intellectual community. The program supports researchers at different career stages with funding for core research mobility and access to the VWI archives, alongside opportunities to present findings and collaborate with international peers.

Residency in Vienna for five to eleven months, access to the VWI archives, participation in fellows’ discussions, and opportunities to present findings to international audiences.

Open to international scholars, including PhD candidates and researchers, with proposals relevant to the Institute’s themes.
