CUNY BA Doctoral Fellowships 2026-2027

The CUNY BA Doctoral Fellowship is a paid fellowship for doctoral students at CUNY, offering leadership roles, professional development, and substantial financial and educational benefits for the 2026–2027 academic year. Selected Fellows work approximately 15 hours per week in non-teaching roles and receive financial support including tuition remission and health insurance access, aimed at supporting their doctoral studies and career development.

Annual compensation (over $30,000), in-state tuition remission, health insurance access, professional development opportunities, and leadership experience in higher-education settings.

Doctoral students at CUNY in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year by the start of the fellowship, with 2–3 years of institutional funding remaining, and interest in areas such as recruitment, communications, events planning, student leadership, or community-building.
