The Stanley Burton Research Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded PhD scholarship offered by the University of Leeds (School of Music) to support one postgraduate researcher for the 2026–2027 academic cohort in music-related doctoral research. The award covers tuition fees and a maintenance stipend for up to 3.5 years (full-time) or pro-rated for part-time study, with an initial one-year award renewable upon progress. The funding must commence by 1 October 2026 and recipients are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance of the university.
