The Restitution and Reparation: Africa and the Post-Colonial Condition Fellowship offers a residency-based research opportunity focused on restitution and repatriation of African art and artifacts. The program brings together scholars and practitioners to conduct research, engage with leading experts, and contribute to a final publication and conference. Fellows spend one semester in residence at The Africa Institute (GSU) campus in Sharjah, UAE, with mentorship and support for publishing.

Eligibility

Candidates must have a minimum of a master’s degree or Ph.D. and demonstrate how their research aligns with the project's objectives; fellows are expected to present their work at the Africa Institute’s lecture series and participate in the final conference and publication.
