AAUW Selected Professions Fellowship Program 2026

The AAUW Selected Professions Fellowship Program 2026 provides a $20,000 stipend for women pursuing their first full-time master’s or professional degree in fields with historically low female participation, particularly in STEM, at accredited U.S. institutions or eligible international institutions. The fellowship supports study in architecture, natural and physical science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine. Fellows receive a stipend disbursed in two equal payments at the beginning and midpoint of the term.

Stipend of $20,000; financial support for studies in the specified disciplines.

Applicants must identify as a woman, be pursuing a full-time master's or professional degree in an eligible discipline, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Programs must be at an accredited U.S. institution or an international institution eligible for U.S. federal student aid programs. Applicants must not already hold a master’s or professional degree and must begin by September 1, 2026 and complete on or after April 30, 2027.
