AIMS South Africa Artificial Intelligence in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026-2027

This is a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at AIMS South Africa, linked to a one-year AI in Science Fellowship at Imperial College, London. The program supports an early-career researcher to conduct AI-driven research at the interface of AI and science or engineering. It includes a salary, flights to and from South Africa, and meals provided at AIMS.

Salary, international travel (flights to and from South Africa), meals provided at the host, research opportunity in AI and science/engineering.

Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline by 1 September 2027 and demonstrate leadership potential, an outstanding research record, and a proposal within the AI in Science remit.
