The Huayu Zengjinleştirme Bursu is a scholarship programme from Taiwan's Ministry of Education aimed at foreign nationals (excluding ROC passport holders and mainland Chinese students) who wish to study Mandarin (Huayu) in Taiwan. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend and covers a fixed bursary period for language or degree-related study in Taiwan, with several duration options. The programme is designed to promote Taiwanese culture and language learning among international students and to foster mutual understanding with Taiwan and the international community.
Benefits
Monthly stipend (NTD 28,000) and bursary duration as specified; funding begins when the student starts learning and continues until the end of the bursary period.
Eligibility
Foreign nationals aged 18 or older who have completed high school or higher, with academic merit and good character, are eligible to apply; certain categories (e.g., overseas Chinese students, previously studied in Taiwan, currently receiving Taiwan scholarships, or in academic collaboration with Taiwan institutions) are excluded.

Applications are submitted online via the MOE Taiwan site; required documents must be sent in three copies by post by the stated deadline.
