The DOE Scholars Program connects undergraduate and graduate students and recent graduates with the U.S. Department of Energy for hands-on experience in science, technology, research, and policy. Participants work on real-world projects across fields such as artificial intelligence, nuclear security, energy security, cybersecurity, and environmental management. The program provides mentored experiences, opportunities to build professional skills and networks, and exposure to DOE mission offices, national labs, and field sites. It is aimed at preparing participants for careers that support DOE operations and research.
