Information

The WISE program selects outstanding engineering students from sponsoring societies to participate in a nine-week internship in Washington, D.C. Participants learn how government officials make decisions on complex technological issues and how engineers and scientists can contribute to legislative and regulatory decision-making. Each year WISE interns produce research papers that are published in the WISE Journal of Engineering and Public Policy and may be distributed by sponsoring societies. The program also provides networking opportunities with fellow interns, faculty advisors, mentors, and Washington decision-makers.
