Destination Australia Scholarship

The Destination Australia Scholarship is an Australian government initiative administered at University of Tasmania campuses to support international students studying in regional Australian campuses (Hobart, Launceston and Cradle Coast). The scholarship provides a living allowance to encourage study and residence in regional areas and aims to support academic and cultural development in those regions. The scholarship does not cover tuition fees.

Annual living allowance of 15,000 AUD; financial support for living and housing costs. Tuition fees are not covered.

Open to international students enrolled full-time in an eligible program and studying and residing in the specified regional Tasmanian campuses (Hobart, Launceston or Cradle Coast); recipients must maintain their principal residence in the regional area for the duration of the scholarship.

Check program eligibility on the UTAS website, apply for admission to the University of Tasmania, then submit the scholarship application via the university's scholarship portal following institutional deadlines.
