Fonds de Recherche pour Jeunes Chercheurs de l'Université de Bâle

The Fonds de Recherche pour Jeunes Chercheurs of the University of Basel provides targeted research funding to doctoral candidates finishing their theses and to postdoctoral researchers developing independent research projects. The programme prioritises scientific excellence and encourages applications from women researchers to promote gender equality in research. Funding is available for project costs and for creating research groups for postdoctoral recipients.

Research funding (postdocs up to 80,000 CHF); grants to support doctoral thesis completion; potential start of funding from 1 June (for February submissions) or 1 December (for September submissions).

Doctoral candidates in the faculties of theology, law, humanities, economics, educational sciences or psychology; postdoctoral researchers employed at the University of Basel or university hospitals with a doctorate obtained less than 8 years before the application deadline. Candidates must demonstrate scientific excellence and a solid research project.

Register in the University of Basel Grants Tool, complete the application form and submit a research project, academic CV, and supporting letters from supervisor/director. Applications are evaluated by the University's research committee.
