Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation 2026

The Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation 2026 is a prize that supports African innovators developing scalable engineering solutions to local challenges. It offers training, mentoring and exposure, with a prize fund of up to £50,000 and opportunities to present to a judging panel at the prize showcase.

Eight-month tailored training programme; two fully-funded training weeks in the UK and Africa; access to mentoring and technical expertise; press coverage and communications support; access to a network of engineers and business experts; opportunity to present the innovation to a judging panel; prize money up to £50,000.

Applicants can apply as an individual or on behalf of a team. The applicant must be a citizen of a country in sub-Saharan Africa, ordinarily based in sub-Saharan Africa, and over 18 years old at applications close. There is no upper age limit.
