Information

The UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea Scholarship Programme supports African women scientists to advance research in life sciences. It funds two exceptional African women each year with a grant of US$25,000 for a one-year research period, enabling work in a recognized African laboratory. The initiative aims to promote gender equality and active participation of African women in scientific development on the continent.

Eligibility

-African nationality and residence; must conduct research in a recognized laboratory in Africa; hold a PhD in life sciences; under 45 years of age at the time of application; active involvement in a research project with development impact.

Application

Governments of African states submit nominations through their UNESCO National Commissions; individual applications are not accepted.
