DW Akademie SparkChange Program 2025 for Youth in Uganda & Tanzania

DW Akademie SparkChange is a leadership and idea-development program for community champions from rural and peri-urban areas in Uganda and Tanzania. Selected participants join a hands-on journey with an Idea Lab and an Action Lab to develop and pilot an idea that amplifies youth and women’s voices, accompanied by training, mentorship, and a pathway to seed funding. The program includes ongoing coaching, a regional network, and opportunities to travel for in-person sessions in Kampala in 2025.

Hands-on training in design, communication, and community engagement; ongoing coaching and mentorship; a pathway to seed funding; participation in Idea Lab (Aug 17–23, 2025) and Action Lab (Dec 8–12, 2025); regional networking with changemakers from Uganda and Tanzania.

Applicants should be 25–35 years old, live in or work in a rural or peri-urban community in Uganda or Tanzania, be involved in amplifying youth and/or women’s voices, have experience with youth or women, can use basic digital tools, can speak and understand English, and must be available to travel to Kampala in August and December 2025.
