World Bank Group Africa Fellowship Program 2026

The World Bank Group Africa Fellowship Program 2026 targets young African nationals who have completed or are completing a Ph.D. in a field relevant to the World Bank's work. Selected fellows spend six months at a World Bank office to gain hands-on experience in research, economic policy, technical assistance, and lending operations contributing to poverty alleviation and shared prosperity.

Consultant fees and round-trip economy-class travel; six-month in-person assignment at a World Bank office; exposure to research, policy work, and lending operations.

Be a recent Ph.D. graduate (within three years of completion) or be enrolled in the last year of the Ph.D. program; be under the age of 32 at the close of the application period; have excellent English; strong quantitative and analytical skills; target African nationals.
