98th Academy Awards International Film Award 2026 (Call for Entries)

Entries are invited for the 98th Academy Awards International Film Award 2026. Telefilm Canada coordinates the Pan-Canadian Selection Committee to determine which Canadian film will be submitted for the International Film Award competition at the Academy Awards. The committee will screen eligible films and vote to select the representation for Canada, with the submission to the Academy due by October 1, 2025.

Be a feature film (over 40 minutes) produced outside the United States with a predominantly non-English dialogue track, with English subtitles; eligible formats include narrative, animation and documentary features; the creative control must largely reside with Canadian citizens/residents or those with refugee or asylum status in Canada; must have been released in Canada within the specified period and meet theatrical release requirements.
