The Marianne Initiative for Human Rights Defenders 2026 provides a funded program in France for human rights defenders. It offers individual accommodation near Paris, a monthly grant, a training program, and personalized support for a four-month period (February–June 2026) with networking opportunities among human rights actors. Eligibility

A human rights defender (as defined by the United Nations), adult and of non-French nationality; able to provide supporting evidence of commitment to human rights; able to justify that participation will strengthen capacity for action and enable collaboration with French organisations; holds a passport valid for at least six months and is willing to travel to France from February to June 2026.
