Elia Group Open Innovation Challenge 2025

The Open Innovation Challenge (OIC) 2025 is a competition designed to stimulate fresh thinking and foster innovation in areas essential to Elia Group’s mission. It invites startups, SMEs, and innovative teams from around the world to develop solutions that enhance the experience, safety, and development of their workforce as they accelerate the energy transition. The competition includes a multi-round process culminating in a final in Brussels, with the winner receiving support to develop a proof of concept.

Proof of concept funding up to €50,000 with expert support; potential for further collaboration and engagement with Elia Group; exposure to a European energy sector ecosystem.

Startups, SMEs, and innovative teams from around the world are welcome to apply. Solutions should fit one of the priority HR areas.
