Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET)

The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET) is a government contract position for university graduates to work as Assistant Language Teachers in Japanese public schools. Participants receive a salary, airfare, health and pension coverage, and paid leave, and are placed in municipalities across Japan. The program emphasizes cultural exchange and supports participants as they assist with English language education in cooperation with Japanese teachers of English.
