UNFCCC AI for Climate Action Award 2025

The AI for Climate Action Award is a global competition recognizing open-source, AI-powered climate solutions that address adaptation and mitigation. It involves finalists and a winner who receives opportunities tied to visibility at international climate events and networking. The award is hosted with partners including the UNFCCC Technology Executive Committee, the Climate Technology Centre and Network, KOICA, Brazil, and Enterprise Neurosystem.

Winner receives travel to COP 30 in Belém, Brazil, in November 2025 to receive the award, visibility and networking opportunities at COP 30, and media exposure via UNFCCC channels; finalists receive page visibility, media exposure, and coaching for live pitches or video production as applicable.

Anyone above 18 years old with an open-source, AI-powered climate solution developed in or for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) or Small Island Developing States (SIDS) is encouraged to apply. Applications are welcome from individuals, teams, start-ups, organizations, or any other type of entity.
