The UbuntuNet Alliance Women Hackathon 2025 invites teams of female developers from Eastern and Southern Africa to develop digital concepts addressing climate change adaptation and mitigation. The programme occurs in two parts: a virtual phase with 15 teams of three, followed by an in-person 3-day hackathon in Harare, Zimbabwe. Benefits include participation certificates, travel and accommodation coverage, attendance at the UbuntuNet Connect Conference, potential internships, industry linkage, and mentorship.

Eligibility

Open to female participants who are students or recent graduates, with a university degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields, from UbuntuNet Alliance countries.
