The Africa Science Journalism Awards (ASJA) are annual awards organised by the Science for Africa Foundation to recognise excellence in health, science and development reporting across Africa. The programme includes multiple categories with cash prizes and a ceremony, and aims to amplify science coverage on the continent. Submissions should focus on health, climate change and environment, or agriculture, and are open to journalists based in Africa.

Eligibility
Submissions must have been published between January 2024 and June 30, 2025. Open to journalists who are citizens or permanent residents of an African country, and who are permanently or primarily resident in Africa. Submissions may be published by local or international outlets, provided they are rooted in the African context.
