Information

The Youth4Disarmament Champions is a one-year programme by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs that selects a small group of young people to plan and implement disarmament projects with support from UNODA and mentors. Participants receive training in disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control, plus mentorship, networking opportunities, a stipend, and a potential study trip to relevant meetings during the programme.

Benefits

Online training on disarmament and project management, mentorship from UNODA staff or identified mentors, networking opportunities with peers and alumni, a stipend to support the participant's project, and at least one trip to a disarmament-related meeting or process during the programme.

Eligibility

Be 18-29 years old at the time of applying, have some knowledge in peace, security, disarmament or related fields, have a project idea for disarmament, and have English language proficiency at least at B2 level.
