Information

The Industrial Controls Technician is a paid technical position within CERN's Electrical Engineering Group focused on industrial control systems and SCADA infrastructure for the CERN electrical distribution network. The role involves installation, cabling, configuration, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of control and monitoring equipment and coordination of contractor technicians. The contract can be extended up to 36 months and includes on-the-job and formal training.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (with some nationalities currently excluded). By the application deadline candidates may have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in a technical or administrative field and their highest educational qualification must be a general secondary education diploma or a shorter non-university degree; applicants cannot hold a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD. Candidates must never have had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
