The Cooling and Ventilation Engineer is a staff position within CERN's Engineering Department (EN), working in the EN-CV group responsible for design, construction, operation and maintenance of cooling and ventilation plants for accelerators, experiments and technical facilities. The role involves feasibility studies, detailed industrial cooling and HVAC system designs, technical specifications and contract supervision, project follow-up through commissioning, and operational support. The position requires a Master's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and experience in design and project/contract management. The appointment includes CERN employment conditions, benefits and possible contract extension up to 8 years with eligibility for indefinite contract tenure.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State; applicants from Pakistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Cyprus and Croatia are currently not considered. Candidates must have relevant qualifications and professional experience; former CERN staff on a Staff contract are ineligible.
