Information

The OpenStack Cloud Engineer is a paid early-career engineering position in CERN’s IT Cloud team responsible for operating and developing the OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure. The role involves running compute, storage, networking and automation services, contributing to upstream open-source projects, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The position is cohort-style early-career employment with a monthly stipend, social benefits and the possibility to extend the contract up to 36 months.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (with specified exclusions). By the application deadline they must have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation and hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (must not hold a PhD). Candidates must never have had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
