Information

The Society for Science Advocate Program provides training, stipends and year-round support to STEM educators who mentor students to enter science fairs and other research competitions. The program distributes funding to Advocates to support their mentoring work and aims to increase student participation in independent research and STEM competitions across schools. Lead Advocates mentor and support their educator cohorts to enhance the flow from research questions to competition entries while managing deadlines.

Eligibility

Educators who mentor students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, including middle and high school teachers, are eligible to participate as Advocates.
