Gada sporta pedagogs

Gada sporta pedagogs is an annual national competition organised to recognise and promote the professional work of sports teachers in Latvia. The competition aims to popularise the role of the sports teacher in educating a healthy younger generation and to identify the most professional sports pedagogue in the country. Municipal and city education departments and basic, secondary and vocational education institutions may nominate candidates to participate.

Professional sports teachers may be nominated by each municipal or city education department and by basic education, secondary education and vocational education institutions.
