International Mentors Programme

The International Mentors Programme at Lund University pairs student mentors with newly arrived international students to help them settle socially and practically into university life. Mentors organise group activities, support Arrival Day and Orientation Weeks, and serve as a social link between international students and the wider student community. The programme includes a mandatory 1.5-hour training session before the term and issues an official mentor certificate to participants who complete the programme.

Official mentor certificate upon completion; opportunities for personal and professional development, networking, language practice, leadership and communication skill development; invitation to a thank-you brunch; merit when applying for some exchange studies.

Students may apply to be international mentors; participants on exchange or practical placements abroad can take part digitally and those in Lund are expected to attend in-person training.

Apply online during the application period; after applying applicants receive a confirmation email with further information and must attend one 1.5-hour mandatory training session (on campus or digitally) before term start.
