Telluride Association Summer Seminar (TASS)

The Telluride Association Summer Seminar (TASS) is a free, six-week residential educational program for high school sophomores and juniors that offers college-level seminars in the humanities and social sciences. The program emphasizes small-group discussion, critical reading and writing, democratic community living, and public speaking. Telluride Association covers tuition, books, room and board, field trips, and facilities fees for all participants and provides travel assistance and additional financial aid when needed. TASS runs as an intensive summer seminar with two faculty instructors, resident advisors, and teaching assistants.

Applications are open to high school sophomores and juniors (rising juniors and rising seniors). Participants must be at least age 15 at the start of the program and no older than 17 by the end of the program. For students in U.S. high school or homeschool, eligible birthdates are between July 26, 2008 and June 21, 2011. For students studying outside the U.S. who do not have a U.S. passport, eligible birthdates are between July 26, 2009 and June 21, 2011; international applicants must be sophomores to apply.

Complete the TASS application by the stated deadline; selected applicants are notified for interviews in February and receive final notifications in March.
