NEF Research Grant Programme

The NEF Research Grant Programme provides financial support for scientific research projects that deepen understanding of nature, ecosystems, and biodiversity in developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The programme targets young researchers and doctoral students who prepare and implement their research proposals independently. Grants support individual research projects with a maximum award and a defined project duration. Applications are reviewed by an external selection committee and results are announced after each deadline.

Research grant up to 1,000,000 JPY per project for up to two years; selection and results announced within three months after each deadline.

Open to individual researchers and doctoral students who independently prepare and implement research proposals; aimed at young researchers working on projects in developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
