Information

The ZTF Summer School 2026 is a week-long hybrid training school focused on data science techniques for classification and characterization of transients in multi-survey alert streams. It targets early graduate students and master's students with research experience, combining short lectures and hands-on Python Jupyter notebook sessions. The school runs in person on the University of Minnesota campus with remote participation via Slack.

Eligibility

Aimed at early (1st or 2nd year) graduate students; master's students with previous research experience will also be considered. In 2026, international applicants can only attend remotely.
