Information

The Bio-based Innovation Student Challenge Europe (BISC-E) is a multidisciplinary student competition to develop an innovative bio-based product or process addressing technological, environmental or societal challenges. It runs in two stages: national competitions followed by a European final where national winners compete. Teams (3–6 students) build a business case and present technological, economic and environmental performance to a jury of industry and academic experts.

Benefits

Prizes for top national projects (Italy: €1000, €500, €250) and EU-level prizes for top projects; experience, mentorship and the chance to represent the country in the European final.

Eligibility

Open to graduating students at universities of Applied Sciences and research universities. PhD students may participate if their level is comparable to EQF 7; teams must include students from different STEM disciplines, may include students from social sciences and humanities, consist of 3–6 students, and be supported by a university-employed supervisor.

Application

Register team via the provided Google Forms registration link by the registration deadline and submit the project dossier to the National Coordinator using the provided dossier template by the submission deadline.
