CODESRIA African Fellowships for Research on Indigenous and Alternative Knowledge (AFRIAK) 2025

The CODESRIA African Fellowships for Research on Indigenous and Alternative Knowledge (AFRIAK) 2025 is a fellowship programme initiated to train a new generation of youth in research project design and knowledge production. It focuses on indigenous and local knowledge systems and pairs youth fellows with Indigenous knowledge holders and academic mentors for seven months of research, internship, dissemination, and post-fellowship activities.

Induction, fieldwork, mentorship, and post-fellowship activities with access to a community of practice

Open to young people between the ages of 24 and 35 who are engaged in research and knowledge production activities inspired by indigenous/local knowledge; must be attached to formal research institutions or centres in Africa.
