DGFF-Sommerschule

The DGFF-Sommerschule is a cohort-style summer school for early-career researchers in foreign and second language research, offering professionalization in empirical research methods and strategies. It provides instruction by experienced researchers, opportunities for intensive academic exchange and networking among doctoral candidates and Habilitand*innen. The 2026 edition focuses on "Transformation – Reflection – Innovation" and covers methodological, ethical and knowledge-communication aspects of language research. The 2026 event takes place at the Evangelisches Bildungszentrum Bad Bederkesa.

Instruction in empirical research methods and strategies, academic exchange and networking opportunities, participation in a program of workshops and sessions on methods, ethics and dissemination.

Doctoral candidates and Habilitand*innen (early-career researchers preparing Habilitation) in foreign- and second-language research.
