The Medicinal Chemistry Summer School 2026 is a five-day residential course covering topics across modern drug discovery, from target validation through translational science and intellectual property. It is delivered by experts from industry and academia and includes lectures, hands-on tutorials, case histories and networking opportunities. The programme is intended to train researchers working in pharmaceutical and academic drug discovery and has been held since 1981. The event includes a poster session, prizes for best posters and an optional conference dinner.

Eligibility
Designed for graduate and post-doctoral chemists with 1–5 years' experience in drug research; delegates from biological or computational backgrounds will also benefit. Final-year PhD students from pharmaceutical or organic chemistry contemplating a career in drug discovery are encouraged to attend.
