Latin America REU

The Latin America REU is a 10-week, on-campus summer research program run by the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Delaware for students from Latin American universities. Participants are engaged in supervised research projects with faculty mentors and may have their stay extended in individual cases. The program typically runs from early June to mid-August and provides full financial support for selected students.

10-week on-campus research placement, competitive monthly stipend, housing/rent coverage, travel expenses, health insurance, visa paperwork (and sometimes visa fee coverage).

Current undergraduate (B.Sc.) and Master's students enrolled at academic institutions in Latin America.

Complete the online application form; provide CV, transcripts, motivation letter, and names of at least three potential faculty mentors. Applications forwarded to faculty; shortlisted candidates interviewed by Zoom and notified a few weeks after interview.
