Science & SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists 2025

The Science & SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists is a global prize recognizing young researchers at an early stage of their careers. It offers prize money across categories, with additional opportunities such as publication in Science or Science online and a prize ceremony in Sweden. The prize is linked to highlighting high-impact work across molecular biology, genomics and systems biology, ecology and environment, and molecular medicine.

Cash prize amounts; publication of winning essays in Science or online; invitation to a prize ceremony in Sweden plus access to a scientific symposium and social events; each winner may bring one guest.

Entrants must have received their Ph.D. between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024 and may apply only once within this period; work described must have been performed while the entrant was a graduate student. The prize is open to residents of all nations.

Submit an online entry form along with a thesis essay (up to 1,000 words), a one-page reference letter, a citations/awards list, and an abstract of the thesis.
