International Day of Mathematics

The International Day of Mathematics is an annual global celebration held on 14 March that includes an online mathematics competition for school-aged students. The competition features 60-second games testing speed and accuracy and uses the hashtag #WorldMathsDay to coordinate activities. The event is led and organised by the International Mathematical Union and local partners around the world. Each year the event has a theme; the 2027 theme is "Mathematics and Hope."
