The Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) is the second stage of the Mathematical Olympiad programme in India under the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). It is a proof-based mathematics examination testing problem-solving in areas such as algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics. The RMO paper contains six questions to be solved in three hours, each requiring detailed solutions. Students qualify for RMO through performance in the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) and region-wise selection criteria.
Eligibility
Students who qualify through the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) and meet the prescribed region-wise and category-wise selection criteria as set by HBCSE.
Application
Qualification is via performance in the IOQM and subsequent region-wise/category-wise selection as prescribed by HBCSE.
