Information

The Berkman Klein Center Fellowship is a cohort-based research fellowship for scholars and practitioners to pursue independent, interdisciplinary research aligned with the Center's AI research agenda. Appointments are available for two periods: January–August 2026 and the 2026–2027 academic year (September 2026–August 2027). Fellows are expected to work in interdisciplinary and intersectoral environments, communicate across technical and non-technical audiences, and engage with and mentor students. The program encourages in-residence presence in Cambridge, MA, while non-resident fellowships may be considered.

Eligibility

Scholars and practitioners who wish to hold a fellowship with the Berkman Klein Center; candidates who propose independent research initiatives aligned with BKC’s AI research priorities. Fellows may be resident in Cambridge, MA or non-resident by exception.
