The Undergraduate Student Research Awards provide funding for undergraduate students to work full time for 16 weeks over the summer in Department of Computer Science research labs at UBC, often with opportunities to publish. The awards include category-specific programs such as NSERC USRA, SURE and Work Learn International Undergraduate Research Award (WL IURA). Selection is adjudicated by a departmental committee and based primarily on academic record once supervisors and award availability are confirmed.

Eligibility
Positions are available to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students with strong academic records. International students must have a valid Social Insurance Number and be eligible to work on campus for the duration of the award.

Applicants must secure a confirmed supervisor from the Projects and Supervisors list or contact faculty directly, then submit the online application webform and upload a PDF of the completed NSERC Form 202 where applicable; departmental adjudication follows.
