The NRF-SAIAB Aquatic Biodiversity Summer School is a short residential programme providing practical fieldwork and technical training in aquatic and marine biodiversity research. It offers sea-going fieldwork, experience on research vessels, and training in methods such as acoustic telemetry, marine remote imagery, stereo-BRUVs and geophysical mapping. The programme runs two sessions in South Africa and is aimed at students and early-career trainees interested in aquatic biodiversity research careers.
