Martingale Foundation Scholarship

The Martingale Foundation Scholarship is a fully funded postgraduate programme supporting Master’s and PhD study at partnered United Kingdom research universities. It focuses on Mathematical Sciences and Artificial Intelligence and combines full financial support with leadership development, mentorship, and access to a research community. Scholars undertake research-led degrees at participating UK institutions while receiving professional and career development throughout their studies.

Outstanding students from low socioeconomic backgrounds who wish to undertake Master’s or PhD research in mathematics or artificial intelligence and who demonstrate strong academic potential and motivation to contribute to research.

Register via the Martingale Scholarship Portal, complete Part A (education history, personal statement, socioeconomic background, financial circumstances) and Part B (Masters or PhD in AI or Mathematical Sciences), submit required documents and referee details, attend interview if shortlisted, then apply to eligible partner universities.
