Building climate resilient urban areas in Kigali

The UNLEASH Hack Kigali event brought together university students, recent graduates, and professionals to tackle climate challenges in Kigali’s urban landscape. Participants worked in teams to address issues such as flooding, heat waves, sustainable agriculture, and infrastructure strain, culminating in pitches and a three-month incubation prize for the winning team. Prizes included mentorship and support from partnering organizations to develop proposed solutions for urban climate resilience.
