A one-day, highly interactive science communication training workshop focused on writing popular science blog posts within the citizen science framework. The workshop teaches participants how to explain research to a general audience, adjust texts for different goals and audiences, and reduce scientific complexity while practising writing and data visualisation. The training is guided by the agency Science Matters and organised by the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) in collaboration with the European Citizen Science (ECS) project.

Eligibility

The training workshop is open to MCAA members and non-MCAA members and is aimed at researchers, educators, trainers and those interested in science communication, with or without prior experience.

Application

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until 30 places are filled; selected applicants receive a confirmation email with payment instructions and have up to seven days to complete payment by bank transfer.
